" Protecting the Bank of Mom and Dad:
Helping Parents Say NO to a Young or Adult Child"

Speaker: Carrie Rattle - Master Money Coach, CDFA, & AFC Candidate

This presentation will include case studies of divorced and divorcing clients who had to dramatically decrease their own spending and that of their children to survive. It will provide a structure to follow and core variables to consider when assisting parents in saying NO to excessive spending by both young and adult children.

In this presentation, we will cover:

  • Using personal values as a core tool to define expected behaviors
  • Identifying the behavioral chain that leads to unplanned or excessive spending
  • Why having a choice is so important to success
  • Modifying behaviors in children and/or the adults while avoiding rebellion

Carrie Rattle is a Master Money Coach, CDFA, AFC Candidate, and CEO of Behavioral Cents, LLC. She is a 30-year veteran financial executive, with multi-country experience in banking, brokerage and credit card practices. Carrie focuses specifically on changing money behaviors and mindset to help clients learn to save or dramatically reduce debt.
